GLOBE GAS VALVE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Globe Gas Valve  installation instructions:

The valve can be used in natural gas, town gas and LPG installations as a distribution and service valve. The maximum working pressure of the valve is shown on the valve body in units of bar.

Verify that the valve is suitable for the operating specifications of the medium (installation); such as maximum operating pressure, maximum operating temperature, corrosiveness and abrasiveness, etc.

Before installation, the pipe must be cleaned of all dirt such as sand, gravel, dirt, welding residues, etc

Remove the valve from its packaging before you attach it to the installation.
First, mount one side of the valve and only lightly fit the bolts. Do not fully tighten the bolts yet. Similarly, mount the other side of the valve. Finish by uniformly tightening the bolts, to avoid twisting the valve body, on both sides of the valve.

The length of screw, at the end of pipe where the valve is attached, must be smaller than the length of screw at the entrances-exits of the valve. An imperviousness element (natural gas cement) must be used between valve screw bottom and pipe screw.
Use the valve in the fully open or fully closed position When opening or closing the valve, only move the valve levers in the direction of the arrow on the valve body. Do not continue to force the valve levers when the lever open/close cycle is completed.

During assembling and dismantlement operation, use a wrench on both ends of the bolts. Do not use force when fitting the valve body to the installation.
During assembling, use a wrench to hold the side of the pipe where the connection is made.
